The theme for the UN’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities today is the promise of technology #IDPwD. If you’ve looked at our statistics page before you’ll know that there are an estimated 1 billion disabled people in the world and 1 in 5 people in the UK have a disability. Everyone’s life is touched by technology – software and hardware are all around us and are an integral part of our daily activities. At Recite Me we are celebrating that today. We believe technology has the power to remove the every day barriers that many disabled people experience. The World Wide Web is our domain; our new video shows you how disabled people can be empowered by our software to access the web content they want how and when they want it.
