England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB)

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) partnered with Recite Me in March 2022 to enhance accessibility for cricket fans of all backgrounds. Recognising that cricket should be a sport for everyone, including people with disabilities and those who speak English as a second language, the ECB set out to create a digital experience that is truly inclusive.

Our Brief

As part of its vision to build the strongest teams, inspire communities, and grow the game for all, the ECB wanted to ensure its online platforms were accessible to every supporter. The goal was to offer maximum customisation options that would remove barriers and ensure every fan felt included.

Our Solution

To achieve this, the ECB integrated the Recite Me Toolbar across its website in 2022. With this adoption, users can translate content read aloud using a screen reader, adjust the website’s appearance with styling and customisation tools, enhance comprehension with built-in reading aids, and even translate content into different languages.

Since launch, users have praised the toolbar’s ease of use and the variety of features available, noting it as a significant improvement over previous accessibility offerings.
