The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) has adopted Recite Me accessibility technology to support its website visitors....
Lifeways is the UK’s leading team of support professionals for adults with diverse and complex needs living fulfilling and independent lives in the community. In 1995 Lifeways opened its first location for people with complex needs. Over 25 years later and they have grown to become the UK’s largest supported living specialist and help almost 5,000 people to live more independently.
In the UK alone, it is estimated that over 12 million people have print impairments such as dyslexia, reading issues, and visual impairments while over 8 million people speak English as a second language. With this in mind, Lifeways wanted to provide an inclusive support network online and remove barriers that prevent people from interacting, engaging, and contributing equally.
To make Lifeway’s online presence as inclusive as possible, they launched their all-new website with an accessibility and language support tool, Recite Me.
Recite Me enables website visitors to view, navigate and customise the Lifeways website in ways to suit their individual needs.
This online support toolbar offers text-to-speech capabilities, reading support aids for people with learning difficulties, and styling options such as font types, colour themes, text size changes, and a translation tool amongst many other features.
Kick start your journey to make your website accessible and inclusive for everyone by exploring Recite Me’s suite of tools.
