KFC is a globally recognised chicken restaurant chain with a long history of success and innovation. In 2023, KFC implemented the Recite Me Assistive Toolbar to widen access to its online recruitment process and attract a more diverse talent pool.
With the introduction of KFC UK&I’s first Neurodiversity Affinity Group, SEEN, the organisation set out to strengthen education and inclusion for neurodiverse employees and applicants. Recognising that job seekers with disabilities often face more barriers in the recruitment process, KFC wanted to create a level playing field on its careers website and set a benchmark for the wider food and beverage industry.
KFC chose to remove all online barriers on the KFC Careers website by implementing the Recite Me Assistive Toolbar.
The toolbar comes equipped with a set of reading aids, styling and customisation tools, text-to-speech software and a translator with up to 100 languages, 65 of which can be read out to the web visitor.
