Purpl Discounts is the first of its kind, a discount platform providing offers to the disabled community, helping to offset the hidden costs of living with a disability. In July 2024, Purpl took on the Recite Me toolbar to help support its disabled users when searching and acquiring discount codes for over 100 brands.
With £17.1 billion lost annually by retailers who ignore online disabled shoppers and their families (Click Away Pound), Purpl wanted to break down these barriers faced by people with disabilities and provide a solution to support all regardless of needs and abilities.
Purpl took on the Recite Me toolbar and has since provided a fully inclusive digital experience to all its website visitors. This enables users to edit font size, use text-to-speech, change the contrast between text and background colour, and translate content. Going forward, Purpl can also take advantage of their detailed monthly reports to investigate commonly used features and language changes.
