Our Brief

Halifax champions inclusivity ensuring that it creates a fully accessible environment for its customers, colleagues and the 16 million people who live in the UK with some form of disability (UK Parliament). In fact, only one in five consumers say they’d prefer to visit a brick-and-mortar branch over using digital channels (Lightico). So Halifax needed to find a solution to their accessibility barriers to enable everyone access to their online financial resources.

Our Solution

To continue championing everyone’s individual needs, Halifax’s solution came in the form of Recite Me Accessibility Software.

The Recite Me assistive toolbar has been implemented on Halifax’s banking website so that customers can modify their webpage to suit their needs.

Customers can now access Halifax’s financial resources with help from tools such as a screen reader, styling and customisation tools, reading aids and a translator with up to 65 text-to-speech voices.
