Cura specialises in helping people with medical conditions, high-risk occupations, hazardous travel, and sports, to get good value insurance Cura has provided insurance advice since 2005 and has helped many individuals secure insurance policies who have previously been turned away by other brokers as ‘uninsurable’. They pride themselves on finding the right insurance products for clients where others cannot.
To address accessibility barriers across the insurance industry, Cura began consultations with organisations about how they could develop some best practices. Across the UK over 14 million people have some form of disability and can encounter challenges online and this is something they wanted to improve.
To address online barriers Cura now offers to Recite Me’s accessibility and language support toolbar. Enabling everyone to navigate, perceive and understand their content easily. This assistive technology enables people to customise their experience of the Cura website to suit their individual needs.
The toolbar provides many accessibility and language options including text-to-speech functionality, fully customisable styling features, reading aids, and a translation tool with over 100 languages, including 35 text-to-speech voices and many other features.
