36 years of progress, One year of action

The Americans with Disabilities Act changed history in 1990. Thirty-six years later, accessibility has come a long way, but millions of people still face unnecessary digital barriers every day.

That’s why we’re launching 36 for 36.

Not because 36 is a milestone anniversary, but because progress shouldn’t wait for one.

The recent extension to the DOJ’s ADA Title II compliance deadlines has given organisations more time to prepare. We believe that time is an opportunity, not a reason to pause.

Together, let’s use it to build a more accessible digital world.

Why now?

Over the next 12 months, Recite Me will deliver our 36 for 36 commitment – a set of accessibility initiatives designed to educate, support and celebrate organis

The DOJ’s revised Title II compliance deadlines have given many organizations more time to prepare.

We believe that time should be used to improve accessibility, not postpone it.

Every month of delay means another month that someone may be unable to access information, complete a transaction, apply for a job or use an essential public service independently.

The best time to improve accessibility was yesterday. The next best time is today.
