Recite Me has recently joined forces with Jobs Go Public to break down digital barriers for candidates via the Recite Me Assistive Toolbar.

For over 25 years, Jobs Go Public has worked side-by-side with public sector organisations to set the highest standard for recruiting. Helping Local Authorities, schools, charities, healthcare providers, and many other public sector organisations to find the people they need. The launch of Recite Me is part of a series of major new upgrades to the Jobs Go Public platform to make candidate’s job search easier.

With 16 million people across the nation having some form of disability, it is essential that organisations take steps to create a level playing field to ensure everyone has the opportunity to research and apply for their dream job online.

Stevie Doyle, Director of Product Strategy & Partnerships, spoke about the toolbar integration on their Jobs board, saying…

quote“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Recite Me for the launch of our brand new job board. Integrating Recite Me’s accessibility tools is a pivotal step in our recruitment platform development, ensuring that jobseekers from all walks of life can seamlessly apply for opportunities. Too often candidates who are disabled or speak English as a second language feel excluded from the hiring process.

As champions of the public sector, we’re committed to removing barriers to employment and supporting our clients to find the talent that keeps vital services ticking. By providing better access to job opportunities, we can not only connect great talent with fantastic roles, but also enable the public sector to build diverse teams and make hiring inclusive from start to finish.”

The Assistive Toolbar will allow candidates to customise the online recruitment journey so they can read and understand information in a way that works best for them. Users can utilise a screen reader, many reading aids, customisable stylistic settings, and an on-demand live translation service with over 100 languages, including 65 text-to-speech options.

For more information on the Recite Me toolbar, please contact a member of our team, or book a real-time demonstration.
