Our Brief

The commitment to their community is built from the ground up as the Newcastle Building Society is owned by customers and not shareholders. Therefore, the NBS know the dos/don’ts of providing the best service for all their clients, offline and online. The NBS are aware that online accessibility on its website is a necessity for all its users so they began to lay a solid foundation for digital inclusivity.

Our Solution

This foundation was a mix of their website and Recite Me’s accessibility software solution, the Recite Me toolbar.

The Recite Me toolbar was able to cater towards the 24% of individuals in the UK with a disability by providing web visitors with a screen reader, style and customisation tools, reading aids and an online translator with 65 text-to-speech voices.

In addition, the Recite Me Accessibility Checker will assist the Newcastle Building Society in improving usability so web visitors can navigate their online platform with ease.
