Karbon Homes is a housing organisation and utility provider, based in the North East of England and Yorkshire. Since forming in 2017, Karbon Homes has provided for over 30,000 homes, which is a testament to the excellent service they provide to their customers.

Our Brief

Karbon Homes have always prided itself on being a company that understands, respects and values the voice of its customers. This is clear in their mission for accessibility on their digital platform. Karbon Homes provides a variety of services to the public including an emergency repair service, ways to pay rent and a simple solution to finding available properties in the area. They also maintain customer safety with an Anti Social Behaviour (ASB) team who will deal with any harassment or disturbances at their houses.

With over 24% of the UK’s population being neurodiverse, it was clear that a foundation for accessibility needed to be put in place so their services could be accessed by everyone. Therefore, Karbon Homes have utilised Recite Me’s award-winning web accessibility software to create inclusive solutions on their digital platform.

Our Solution

Recite Me works on the Karbon Homes website to provide customers with the option of accessing important information about their tenancy and other services in a way that is convenient for them.

All customers of Karbon Homes can now take full advantage of their amazing customer-driven support services to pay rent, organise repairs and search for properties that are available in the area.

Recite Me provides Karbon Homes with a variety of accessibility and language options. These include a way to increase font size, a zoom option, text-to-speech, the ability to change the contrast between text and background colour, and the ability to translate the content into the customer’s first language.
