Quba, a digital consultancy and proud partner of Recite Me, is leading the way in digital inclusion. By integrating assistive technology, Quba is enhancing its brand reputation and engagement while empowering its clients such as Birmingham Airport to do the same.
Recite Me’s partnership with Quba came to fruition from an initial conversation about Quba’s mission which was to become AA WCAG compliant. After the accessibility of their website build was resolved, Quba moved on to user experience and ensured they could provide a barrier-free experience for anyone who landed on their website regardless of abilities.
At the beginning of this partnership, Ben Franklin told us, “Recite Me offers the tools and functionality we need to make the websites and software we build accessible to many more people. We commit to helping people with disabilities, visual impairments, or any other barrier, have access to technology, and we are excited to roll Recite Me out for our customers.”
Recite Me is thrilled to see that in just 12 months, Quba has widespread awareness of the importance of digital inclusion across its customers including Birmingham Airport, the Union of Shop and Distributive and Allied Workers (USDAW) and more who have taken on the Recite Me assistive toolbar.
Birmingham Airport took on Recite Me in December 2023 through our partnership with Quba and as part of Birmingham Airport’s assistive travel methodology.
Since taking on Recite Me and implementing some other methods, Birmingham Airport has seen:
15% increase in website sessions
20% increase in engaged visits
Overall engagement is up by 4.5%
In the increasingly competitive digital marketplace, cultivating brand loyalty is more important than ever. Acquiring a new customer can cost five times more than retaining an existing one, and 33% of customers will consider switching companies after just one poor experience (Netomi). It is fantastic to see Birmingham Airport seeing results such quantitative results since the adoption of assistive technology
Website compliance is set to be one of the top 5 digital marketing trends for 2025, due to the introduction of The European Accessibility Act (EEA), a regulation designed to ensure digital products and services are accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities.
Not only should you meet these requirements but if digital inclusion helps you to also enhance your brand reputation and retention, then it should be a no-brainer!
