What Does Accessibility Mean To Me is a time for us to come together and to get everyone talking and learning about accessibility, diversity, and...
Middlesex Cricket was founded in 1864 and is one of the most successful and well-respected first-class counties in the English domestic game. The club plays at the Home of Cricket, Lord’s Cricket Ground, in St John’s Wood and has done since 1877.
Last year Middlesex Cricket introduced several new disabled categories of membership, which also saw the club introduce the addition of complimentary Personal Assistants’ Passes for all disabled members. To build on this great accessibility work, Middlesex wanted to support fans and website visitors online.
Leading the way in cricket, Middlesex has become the first cricket club to have installed Recite Me accessibility assistive technology onto its official website.
At the click of a button, Middlesex is able to support everyone online. All of their content has been made immediately accessible, allowing all fans who may have a disability, learning difficulty, or who speak English as a second language, to easily access club news, and fixture dates and buy match tickets and merchandise.
The Recite Me assistive technology software provides website visitors with 4 key supporting feature groups on a clean toolbar that sits at the top of the Middlesex Cricket official website.
Recite Me is easy to use, accessibility software includes text-to-speech functionality, fully customisable styling features, reading aids, and a translation tool with over 100 languages, including 65 text-to-speech voices and many other features.
