Disability Rights Tennessee raises the accessibility bar

The state of Tennessee is home to 6.7 million residents and around 30% face barriers to accessing information online due to website inaccessibility and language barriers.

Over a million Tennessee residents have a reported disability, which can impact their lives in varied ways, from limited sight, hearing, and mobility, to reading comprehension and more. Additionally, more than 5% of residents speak a language other than English as their primary language.

Disability Rights Tennessee (DRT) is on a mission to protect the rights of people with disabilities and support them at no cost. At DRT, they believe that access to online information is a right and they are deeply committed to providing accessible resources. on the DRT website, there is a wealth of information online to help people find, understand, and access the services they need, but without accessible tools, those resources may go unused.
