OutFront Minnesota, the largest LBGTQ+ advocacy organization in the State of Minnesota, has implemented Recite Me technology to eliminate barriers that may prevent visitors from accessing their website for resources and opportunities.

OutFront Minnesota’s mission is to create a state where LGBTQ+ individuals are free to be who they are, love who they love, and live without fear of violence, harassment, or discrimination. They envision a state where LGBTQ+ people have equal opportunities, protection, and rights.

Inclusion is a top priority for OutFront Minnesota. Their website is the go-to hub of anti-violence programs to assist with reports of incidents of anti-LGBTQ+ hate or bias, education and training sessions, legislative tracker, employment opportunities for LBGTQ+ individuals, and much more. These resources need to be accessible to all web users, regardless of their background or ability; thus Recite Me was implemented on their website.

Kat Rohn, Executive Director at OutFront Minnesota commented,

“OutFront Minnesota builds power within Minnesota’s 2SLGBTQIA+ communities to address inequities through intersectional organizing, advocacy, education, and direct support services. Using the Recite Me on our website reflects our intersectional values to ensure all LGBTQ+ people across Minnesota have access to the tools and information needed to help make change in their community.”

The translation feature is one of the core features of the Recite Me toolbar, which assists the 25 million Americans with limited proficiency in English and who don’t speak it as their main language in digesting and consuming information online in a way that suits them best.

The accessibility and language tools available on OutFront Minnesota’s website allow visitors to read content aloud, utilize multiple reading aids and styling options, and translate content into over 100 languages, 65 of which can be read aloud. Our award-winning inclusive web technology comes with a toolbar so each person can customize their experience in a way that best suits them.
