Founded in 1979, Via Mobility Services is a charitable nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with limited mobility across eight Colorado counties through comprehensive transportation solutions.

For over four decades, Via has positively impacted thousands of older adults, people with disabilities, low-income individuals, and rural residents by delivering customized and responsive mobility services.

Our Brief

Via offers a wide range of services, starting with Via Paratransit, which offers on-demand, door-through-door transportation using wheelchair-accessible vehicles. Via also partners with local and state governments, businesses, and other organizations to operate specialty contract services such as RTD’s FlexRide, the City of Boulder’s HOP public bus, and many other shuttles.

Extending beyond transportation, Via provides mobility management services, including educational outreach, information and referrals, and individual travel planning. These efforts are geared towards empowering individuals with the knowledge to make informed mobility choices and enhance accessibility in their lives.

To promote independence and self-sufficiency for people with limited mobility and provide caring, customer-focused transportation options online, Via integrated the Recite Me accessibility and language toolbar on their website.

Our Solution

The Recite Me Accessibility Toolbar enables a barrier-free browsing experience on the Via Mobility Services website. Our award-winning inclusive web technology comes with a toolbar so each person can customize their experience in a way that best suits their individual needs.

Recite Me assistive technology includes screen reading functionality, multiple reading aids, customizable styling options, and an on-demand live translation feature that boasts over 100 languages, 65 of which can be read aloud.
