Founded in 1867, the NorthEast-Millerton Library strives to promote the development of independent, thoughtful, and literate citizens by providing open access to cultural, intellectual, and information resources.
In addition to 30,000 plus physical and digital items provided to community members with library cards, the Library offers access to adult and children’s programs, Wi-Fi, public computers, copying and faxing services, meeting space, and a seed library.
NorthEast-Millerton Library provides a variety of resources, events, and services to its patrons and community members such as access to over 600 online courses, a streaming service with over 30,000 films, job boards with current openings in New York State, and much more.
In an effort to make their online information and services accessible, adaptable, and accommodating for their community, NorthEast-Millerton Library searched for a solution that would eliminate any obstacles preventing users from accessing the websites and their resources.
To fulfill their goal of best serving their community, NorthEast-Millerton Library implemented Recite Me toolbar to allow individuals with language needs or disabilities the same access to information, opportunities, and rights that are available to all.
