Disability Rights Connecticut

Since 2017, Disability Rights Connecticut (DRCT) has been an independent, statewide, non-profit that protects and advances the legal rights of people with disabilities in the State of Connecticut. 

Since 2017, DRCT has provided legal advocacy and rights protection to people of all ages with disabilities, free of charge. Their services include assisting individuals with problems such as abuse, neglect, discrimination, community integration, access to assistive technology, and much more.

Our Brief

Disability Rights Connecticut’s mission is to champion, educate, investigate, and pursue legal, administrative, and other situative avenues to advance and protect the civil rights of individuals with disabilities to participate equally and fully in all aspects of community life in Connecticut. 

To promote independence and self-sufficiency for people with disabilities and provide critical resources and news to the community, DRCT implemented the Recite Me accessibility and language toolbar on their website.

Our Solution

The Recite Me Accessibility Toolbar enables a barrier-free browsing experience on the Disability Rights Connecticut website. Our award-winning inclusive web technology comes with a toolbar so each person can customize their experience in a way that best suits their individual needs.

Recite Me assistive technology includes screen reading functionality, multiple reading aids, customizable styling options, and an on-demand live translation feature that boasts over 100 languages, 65 of which can be read aloud.
