Goodwin, a not-for-profit aged care provider, has supported its website visitors with the Recite Me assistive toolbar on its digital platform.

Goodwin is known for providing its award-winning care services to the people of Canberra. The addition of Recite Me assistive tools on their website has facilitated a barrier-free experience for everyone wanting to access their services online.

Founded in 1954, Goodwin has provided residential care homes for over 65 years with 4 sites across Canberra Australia.

Being an industry leader, it’s imperative that Goodwin provide inclusive access for those looking for residential support. Therefore, Goodwin added Recite assistive technology which will cater to those with visual impairments, learning difficulties, neurological or cognitive disorders and to those who speak English as a second language.

Rafe Morris, General Manager of Marketing and Communications, at Goodwin, commented,

“The Recite Me toolbar has enabled us to foster an inclusive online experience for our website users. As an organisation that helps people to live independently in a supportive community, it was key that this extended across our website, which is why we implemented Recite Me.

“We love the variation of tools available and our users appreciate being able to customise our website content in a way that suits their needs.”

Goodwin’s diverse audience has been accessing their website in a way that suits them best with the addition of a screen reader, multiple reading aids, styling and customisation options and an online translator with over 65 text-to-speech voices.
