Cancer Council WA has launched Recite Me accessibility and language tools across its digital platform to help provide barrier-free information and resources for West Australians.
As a community-funded organisation, Cancer Council WA works across four pillars: advocacy, prevention, research and support. With 36 people in WA hearing the words “you have cancer” every day they are there to ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
The implementation of Recite Me assistive technology on their website helps improve access to important content, regardless of disabilities, learning difficulties, visual impairments or language.
The Recite Me toolbar has many features to help users browse and navigate the Cancer Council WA online platform including a screen reader, styling and customisation options, a set of reading aids and a translator with over 100 languages.
