Black Swan State Theatre Company of Western Australia (Black Swan) has adopted Recite Me assistive technology on its website, helping make its theatre productions more accessible to all.
With a mission to connect artists and audiences through the power of theatre to entertain, challenge and inspire, Black Swan wants to ensure this experience is possible for everyone, regardless of disabilities, language or ability.
Visitors to the Black Swan website can now use the Recite Me toolbar to customise their digital experience in a way that works for them. This includes screen reading functionality, multiple reading aids, and an on-demand live translation feature that boasts over 100 languages.

With approximately 5.5 million Australians living with a disability and 22.3% of Australians speaking a language other than English at home, Black Swan recognised the importance of creating an adaptable online experience. Now, visitors can search for information and purchase tickets in a way that works best for them.
