McGregor Boyall implemented Recite Me assistive tools on its website back in June 2021, jumping from strength to strength on its journey to a fully inclusive recruitment process.
More than ever before, job searches and recruitment drives are taking place online, which may pose challenges for the 14.1 million people in the UK with a disability.
Everyone should have the opportunity to find their dream job. By providing customisable tools online, McGregor Boyall has supported over 3,500 people in the past year to help those with additional needs to find their perfect role.
Nicholas Eveleigh, Group Marketing Manager at McGregor Boyall commented,
“The Recite Me toolbar is one way that McGregor Boyall supports and champions diversity, equity, and inclusion within the recruitment industry.
Online accessibility is essential for our business to ensure that we enable neurodiverse candidates to interact with us online. Removing potential barriers for someone applying for a job means we don’t miss out on great candidates and can offer our clients the widest pool of talent available on the market.”
In the past 12 months, 16,955 pages have been used by over 3,500 people using Recite Me technology. This includes various features such as screen reading functionality, multiple-reading aids, customisable styling options, and an on-demand live translation feature that boasts over 100 languages including 65 text-to-speech.
The screen reader alone has been used on 14,095 pages, to read aloud recruitment content on the McGregor Boyall website.
Nicholas continued, “It’s great to see how high the Recite Me usage statistics are each month; knowing that a simple piece of code being added to our website has allowed so many web visitors to interact with us online feels like an incredible achievement.”
