However, due to the proliferation of online technologies, key definitions have been expanded to encompass digital platforms, which are viewed as extensions of physical spaces.<\/p><p>Of the five Titles that comprise ADA legislation, three relate to website accessibility: <\/p><ul><li><strong>ADA Title I: Employment<\/strong> &#8211; Employers must have an accessible website and provide inclusive candidate journeys for employees with disabilities.<\/li><li><strong>ADA Title II: Public Services and Programs<\/strong> &#8211; State authorities must ensure equal access to public services, programs, and activities for disabled citizens.<\/li><li><strong>ADA Title III: Public-facing Entities<\/strong> &#8211; All public-facing businesses and nonprofits must make reasonable adjustments to provide full and equal enjoyment of their goods and services. <\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-1693374 disable-default elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"1693374\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-ab87684\" data-id=\"ab87684\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-77c2b39 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"77c2b39\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3>Section 508<\/h3><p>Enacted as an amendment to the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, <a href=\"https:\/\/reciteme.com\/us\/news\/section-508-compliance\/\">Section 508<\/a> mandates that federal agencies and offices make their electronic and information technology (EIT) accessible to people with disabilities. Issued by the <a href=\"https:\/\/oklahoma.gov\/omes.html\">Office of Management and Enterprise Services<\/a>, the standards comprise a 20-page document detailing the minimum action necessary to ensure information and communication technology conforms to the standards defined in Section 508.
