But it\u2019s essential to remember that not all disabilities are physical \u2013 or even visible.\u00a0<\/p><p>There\u2019s an outdated assumption that the term disability is synonymous with someone in a wheelchair \u2013 which isn\u2019t entirely illogical, given that the wheelchair has become the international symbol of disability. Yet, of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/news-room\/fact-sheets\/detail\/disability-and-health\">1 billion people worldwide <\/a>with a disability, only 1% need a wheelchair.<\/p><p>Of course, people with physical disabilities do need to be supported. But people with hidden disabilities often need help too. That means having an accessible website and providing employees an inclusive candidate journey.
