However, making a website accessible benefits lots of other groups, too \u2013 like people with slow network connections, those using mobile devices and tablets, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ons.gov.uk\/peoplepopulationandcommunity\/healthandsocialcare\/disability\/articles\/nearlyoneinfivepeoplehadsomeformofdisabilityinenglandandwales\/2015-07-13\">1 in every 5 people<\/a> who have hidden disabilities like decreased vision, learning difficulties, literacy problems, neurological and cognitive disorders, or language barriers.<\/p><p>Making a website accessible means doing the bare minimum to provide a website that:<\/p><ol><li>Has the correct structure, layout, and features so that people with disabilities can navigate it and consume the content.\u00a0<\/li><li>Complies with the World Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA\u00a0<\/li><li>Meets the relevant legal standards and regulations.<\/li><\/ol><p>Some examples of
